Plum Jam



Get Started:


Peel plums and finely chop

  • For every two 8oz half pints of jam you will need:
  • 1 1/3 cups of prepared plums
  • 1 1/2 tbsp pectin
  • 1 2/3 cups granulated sugar


Make Your Jam

1. PREPARE waterbath canner, jars and lids according to manufacturers instructions, if preserving. Prepare and measure ingredients for recipe.
2. ADD entire measure of sugar and stir to dissolve. Return mixture to a full rolling boil. Boil hard 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Skim foam, if necessary.
3. PACK your jars.


Headspace: 1/4"
Process Time: 10 Minutes
Remove water bath canner lid and let stand for 5 minutes
Remove jars and cool. Check lids for seal after 24 hours.
